Rejoinder on Alleged Attacks Against Opposition in Kebbi State

The attention of the Tinubu Kaura 2 times has been drawn to a spurious allegation linking the ruling APC in the State with a purported attack against members of the opposition ADC.

We wish to categorically state in the strongest terms that this allegation is completely false, mischievous, and a desperate attempt to mislead the public. Our APC led Administration in Kebbi state is widely known for its respect to the principles of democracy, rule of law, and peaceful coexistence. The party or any of its organs neither sponsors nor encourages any form of violence or intimidation, hence we vehemently reject any insinuation or attempt that seeks to associate our great party with such shameful acts.

It is regrettable that out of their desperation to gain cheap political relevance and public sympathy certain opposition elements, have resorted to propaganda and deliberate spread of falsehoods aimed at tarnishing the image of the present Administration in the State . This is not only irresponsible but also a disservice to the collective peace and unity we all strive to maintain.

Their narrative falls apart when one considers the context: how could someone claim to be on a solemn visit yet hear political thugs brandishing dangerous weapons and chanting slogans?

This behavior is irresponsible and undermines the peace and unity we tirelessly work to maintain.We challenge those making these baseless claims to provide a credible and incontrovertible evidence to butress their reckless claims rather than hiding behind vague accusations. If these opponents were not operating with thugs, let them deny that they were accompanied by armed individuals.

The APC led Government has nothing to fear from healthy political competition; our record of achievements and ongoing people oriented projects speak for themselves.

We acknowledge the swift action taken by the State Government in convening an emergency security meeting to address the disturbing trend propagated by the ADC in the state. We also urge security agencies to thoroughly and objectively investigate these incidents and bring the real culprits—irrespective of party affiliation—to justice as directed by the Peace loving Governor of the State .

Let it be on record that our administration will never shield lawbreakers no matter their status, but at the same time, we will not allow unfounded allegations to go unchallenged.

The Apc led government at all levels remains focused on delivering good governance through the provision of critical infrastructure, youth and women empower ment, and sustaining policies that uplift the lives of our people. We urge the public to disregard these politically motivated distractions and continue to support the progressive agenda of the masses- oriented administration.
